In the teaching of RE, we aim for children to learn about religions AND learn from religions.
We teach about tolerance, celebrating differences and welcoming all, in a community of respect, nuture and support.
We give our children opportunities to discuss topics, reflect on the impact relgion has on others in their community, the wider world and themselves.
"We encourage children to think deeply and ask the bigger questions."
We use our strong links with Holy Trinity, Heworth, and visits to other places of worship to enrich our children's religious education.
The Reverand Michael Woodmansey, Holy Trinity, is a school governor and an almost daily visitor to school.
Children regularly engage in extra special RE days and events. Creative prayer days, Interfaith weeks and regular visits to Holy Trintiy to celebrate Christian festivals are cemented into our calendar.
